The Management and Organization Department at Boston College's Carroll School of
Management is seeking applicants doing micro-, meso-, or macro-level research for a tenured or
tenure-track position with expertise in qualitative or quantitative research methodologies
beginning Fall 2023.
The Management and Organization Department combines the fields of organizational behavior,
organizational theory, and strategy. Our faculty regularly publish in the Academy of
Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Organization Science, and
Administrative Quarterly. Many departmental faculty members are active as journal editors and
serve in leadership roles in the Academy of Management. The department offers a PhD program
as well as MBA and undergraduate concentrations. It is affiliated with several independent
centers at Boston College, including the Winston Center for Leadership and Ethics, the Center
for Corporate Citizenship, the Center for Work and Family, and the Sloan Center on Work &

related degree; tenure-track candidates must expect to complete their PhD by August, 2023. We
are seeking candidates with a research specialization that focuses on the individual, group,
organizational, inter-organizational, or field level of analysis. We have a strong preference for
faculty who have demonstrated excellent teaching in organizational behavior or management
courses, have presented and are involved with the Academy of Management, and have
published in the top management journals.
