    Management Faculty Position

    Colorado State University

    Available August, 2009

     

    Colorado State University, a land grant, Carnegie Doctoral/Research Extensive University of 24,700 students, invites nominations and applications for an Organizational Behavior tenure-track faculty position.  While preference will be given to individuals holding the rank of Associate Professor or Assistant Professor, highly qualified individuals who will complete their dissertation by the time of appointment will also be considered.  This position will report directly to the Department Chair in the Department of Management at the CSU College of Business.  A full position description and additional information are available at http://www.biz.colostate.edu/openpositions.htm

     

    Specific responsibilities: Responsibilities include conducting research leading to scholarly publications in high quality, nationally recognized journals; teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; and service to the College, University, profession and community.  Successful candidates will be able to teach the college core course in organizational behavior/management, with the potential to teach additional undergraduate courses in leadership, teams, and/or decision making, as well as graduate courses in OB as needed. 

     

    Required Qualifications: Applicants must have an earned terminal degree in Organizational Behavior or a related field from an IAME/AACSB accredited institution by the time of appointment.  Successful candidates will have a strong research program in process.  Evidence of effective teaching experience is required.

     

    Preferred qualifications: Individuals with a research program addressing leadership is preferred.  Teaching experience in a survey organizational behavior/management course and/or in leadership is preferred.  Additionally, we will consider applicants with demonstrated scholarly achievements focusing on organizational communication, negotiation and conflict management, and team effectiveness.

     

    The Department of Management is one of five departments in the College of Business, with primary foci of Organizational Behavior/Leadership, Entrepreneurship/Strategy, and Supply Chain Management.  Our department has added five new tenure/tenure track faculty in the past twelve months.
