Dear MOC member,

It is with great pleasure that we invite you to the division's "Thinking Afloat": Drinks & Dessert Social at this year's Academy of Management annual meeting in Chicago. We are trying out something different this year: We are hosting the social on a boat! The details of the event are below.

There is no pre-registration required and there is no cost for attending the event.

We hope you can make it!

Event:

MOC "Thinking Afloat": Drinks & Dessert Social

When?:

August 11, 2018 (Saturday); 8pm to 11pm

Where?:

Anita Dee Yacht Charters. 200 N Breakwater Access, Chicago, IL 60601;

Docked at Dusable Harbor on the Chicago River at Lake Shore Drive.

Walking directions?:

Take any stairway down to the Riverwalk on the south side of the Chicago River;

Walk east toward the lake;

The south side of the Riverwalk ends at the boat just east of the Lake Shore Drive Bridge

What's the plan?

8:00 to 9:15 pm           Remain dockside to welcome friends and share some MOC-tales

9:15 to 9:45 pm           Cruise the Chicago River and enjoy the city's beautiful skyline

9:45 to 11:00pm           Return and remain dockside to witness the spectacular fireworks
