    Dear Colleague, 

    I am writing to solicit your assistance. I would appreciate it if you could distribute the information below to your membership.   I believe some of your members may be interested in it.

    We would like to inform you that we have a group of management researchers interested in promoting African management research in the Academy of Management. We had our maiden meeting at the last AOM Meeting in Anaheim, California. We plan to have another caucus meeting at the next AOM Meeting in Chicago in 2009. In addition, we hope to organize a symposium and PDW during that meeting. The symposium and PDW will focus on various aspects of management research in Africa.

    Please be informed that the group is not limited to Africans only; anybody interested in African management research and teaching is very much welcome. We would therefore encourage you to participate in the group if you currently or plan to conduct research on management issues in Africa and/or teach management in Africa.  You may also invite or inform other colleagues about this group.
