    FACULTY POSITION IN MANAGEMENT

    The Department of Management in the Terry College of Business at the University of Georgia seeks qualified applicants for a tenure-track position of Assistant Professor in Strategic Management starting August 2018.

    The applicant will have completed at a minimum a PhD in Management or any closely related field. Job duties include research and teaching in the fields of strategy and strategic management.  As such, a successful applicant will have demonstrated potential to publish in top journals, exhibit excellence in the classroom, and have the desire to work in a collegial, interdisciplinary department. Our preference is for PhD applicants who will be graduating during the 2017-2018 academic year but prior to the position start date (approximately 8-1-2018) or those receiving their PhDs within the last 3 academic years.

    The Department of Management at the University of Georgia is among the most productive in the country, ranking 7th in the Texas A&M Rankings of Management Department Productivity in 2015. The Strategy group includes Scott Graffin (former associate editor for AMJ), Mike Pfarrer (associate editor for AMR), Timothy Quigley, Daniel Gamache, and John Busenbark.  The OB group includes Jason Colquitt (former editor-in-chief of AMJ), Robert Vandenberg (former editor-in-chief of ORM), Marie Mitchell (associate editor for PPsych), Jessica Rodell (associate editor for AMJ), Laura Little, Fadel Matta, and Erin Long.

    The University of Georgia is the first public-chartered university in the nation and the Terry College is the state's flagship business school, with undergraduate, full-time MBA, professional MBA, and executive MBA programs consistently ranked among the top-20 public universities.
