The Board on Behavioral, Cognitive, and Sensory Sciences (BBCSS) is seeking suggestions for individuals to consider for membership on the committee for a new study at the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine titled, The Social and Behavioral Sciences for National Security: A Decadal Survey. Funded by the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, this study is aimed at identifying opportunities that are poised to contribute significantly to the Intelligence Community's analytic responsibilities. The study will identify opportunities throughout the social sciences (e.g., sociology, demography, political science, economics, anthropology) and from behavioral sciences (e.g. psychology, cognition, neuroscience) and will draw on discussions at the upcoming summit to launch the project. Attention will also be paid to work in allied professional disciplines such as engineering, business, and law, and a full variety of cross-disciplinary, historical, case study, participant, and phronetic approaches. This study will be conducted at the unclassified level. We are particularly interested in recommendations for those with expertise in one or more of the following areas:
