ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF HUMAN AND ORGANIZATIONAL LEARNING
(tenure-accruing, academic year appointment)
The George Washington University (GW) Graduate School of Education and Human Development seeks an Associate Professor for primary appointment within the Executive Leadership Program in the Department of Human and Organizational Learning. This tenureaccruing, academic year position is available beginning in August 2014.
Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach graduate courses focused on human and organizational learning, advise doctoral students including chairing and serving on dissertation committees, and maintain an active research agenda including seeking and maintaining external research funding. The successful candidate will be an active contributor to the Department of Human and Organizational Learning, the Executive Leadership Doctoral Program, and the University, including, for example, serving on department, school, and university administrative committees.
Basic Qualifications:
All applicants must have:
- an earned doctorate in Human and Organizational Learning or a related field such as industrial/organizational psychology, organization science, or adult education (minimum of 5 years post-degree);
- established record of theoretically-based and practically relevant research in human and organizational learning or related fields;
- an established research record in leadership, organizational studies, or related field;
- demonstrated record of advising doctoral students;
- demonstrated experience teaching senior managers and other professionals;
- evidence of potential for obtaining external research funding as evidenced by submitted research proposals or grant awards; and,
- evidence of management experience.
