    Dear MOC Division member

The Managerial and Organizational Cognition (MOC) Division needs your
help to build another outstanding program of scholarly activities for
the 2009 Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Chicago. The MOC
Division attracts many submissions each year, and reviewers play a
crucial role in helping to transform these submissions into the high
quality program you have come to expect from MOC. We need reviewers
across a wide range of topics and methods listed at the website.

The Academy of Management has recently announced that the Centralized
Reviewer System is now open for reviewer signup. This system has many
benefits that translate into easier signup, retrieval, and return of
reviews. Among other things, it offers a one-stop mechanism for signing
up across all Academy divisions. You can access the system at
http://review.aomonline.org/. In case you missed Susan Jackson’s
Academy-wide announcement about the reviewing process for the Meetings,
I have posted it at the end of this note.

You will probably be asked to review up to three submissions between
January 15, 2009 (Submission Deadline) to February 13, 2009 (Review
Deadline). You may be asked to review early submissions that come in
before the submission deadline and will be notified as to which papers
you will be reviewing by January 23, 2009. Please check your schedule
to make sure that you will be able to take part in the reviewing process
during this time period. I do hope you'll decide to serve as a reviewer
for the MOC Division this year. In addition, if you know colleagues
and/or PhD students who might like to review for the Division, please
free to pass this message on to them.

I do hope that you can contribute to the MOC Division of the Academy and
help make our program in Chicago the best it can be.

    Sincerely,

    Gerard

FROM SUSAN E. JACKSON, 2009 ACADEMY PROGRAM CHAIR

    Dear Academy of Management Member:

The Academy is recruiting reviewers for its 2009 Annual Meeting Program.

If you are interested in being a part of the review process, we highly
encourage you to sign up as a volunteer reviewer for the divisions or
interest groups in which you are a member, planning to submit to, or are
interested in. Divisions and Interest Groups will also be following up
with those of you who have reviewed in the past. Please note that even
if you have reviewed in the past, you still need to re-sign up for the
    2009 Annual Meeting.

You can sign up to review for up to three divisions and/or interested
groups, and you may be asked to review up to three submissions per
division or interest group that is selected. So the maximum total number
of review assignments that you could potentially receive is nine. The
review period for the 2009 Annual Meeting is from January 15, 2009
(Submission Deadline) to February 13, 2009 (Review Deadline). However,
you might be asked to review early submissions that come in before the
submission deadline. Please check your work schedule to make sure that
you will be able to review during this period.

Being a reviewer will add more visibility to you and your institution
and give you an opportunity to be more involved in the Academy's
program. We hope that you strongly consider reviewing for at least one
    division or interest group.

To sign up, please visit http://review.aomonline.org/ and click the
"Sign Up Now" button in order to create a profile and choose your areas
of expertise (i.e. keywords) for the divisions or interest groups for
which you want to review. The sign-up process is fast and easy and
should not take longer than 5 minutes.

Thank you in advance for your participation. Without your effort and
support, there would not be an Annual Meeting.

    Best regards,
Susan E. Jackson, 2009 Program Chair
    Academy of Management
