    The Department of Management at the nationally-ranked Kogod School of
    Business invites applications and nominations for a tenure-track
    appointment to a faculty position beginning Fall semester 2007.

    Qualifications include:
    - Ph.D. in appropriate field of Management (Organization &
    Management Theory, Organizational Behavior, Organizational Development &
    Change, Entrepreneurship, Management Consulting, Technology & Innovation
    Management).
    - Academic and business background that would allow the
    individual to develop teaching expertise in the meso-macro areas of
    organizational management.
    - Primary teaching interest in: change and innovation,
    leadership, management consulting, teambuilding, negotiation,
    organizational behavior.
    - Effective teaching at all levels.
    - Strong commitment to high-quality research.

    Responsibilities include:
    - Undergraduate and graduate teaching
    - Research
    - Participation in department, school, and university activities

    Rank: Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor

    The Kenan-Flagler Business School, University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill is seeking applicants for a visiting faculty position in Organizational Behavior, starting July 1st, 2009.  This position is a one-year appointment with option for renewal.  We encourage applications from candidates with active research programs and strong teaching skills, with particular emphasis on courses in negotiations and ethics. The position requires a doctorate, granted or nearly completed, in organizational behavior or related fields.  Salaries are competitive, and resources are available for faculty research.

     

    The Kenan-Flagler Business School is located in a facility that provides excellent technological support for both research and teaching. The current faculty in organizational behavior are Dick Blackburn, Dan Cable, Jim Dean, Jeff Edwards, Alison Fragale, Francesca Gino, David Hofmann, Mabel Miguel, and Ben Rosen.  Faculty affiliated with the organizational behavior area include Howard Aldrich and Arne Kalleberg in Sociology, and Barbara Fredrickson in Psychology.

     

    The University is located in the Research Triangle Area of North Carolina.  It is close to Duke University, North Carolina State University, and a variety of organizations, particularly in the information technology, medical, and pharmaceutical industries.  The area is served by the Raleigh-Durham International Airport, which provides for convenient travel both nationally and internationally. The area also provides ample access to cultural, artistic, and sporting events, boasts some of the best public schools in the U.S., and is within a three-hour driving distance of the beautiful North Carolina mountains and beaches.
