2007 <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">Academy</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Management</st1:placename></st1:place> Meetings
Get feedback on your research from people who are likely to be your reviewers! Exchange experiences with people like you at different schools to learn best and worst practices! Network with some of the most important scholars in the field! Learn how to manage your relationship with doctoral students now that you no longer are one! The OB Junior Faculty Workshop does all of this ... and more.
The Organizational Behavior Division would like to invite junior faculty members to attend the 2007 OB Junior Faculty Workshop – part of the 2007 <st1:placetype w:st="on">Academy</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Management</st1:placename> meeting in <st1:city w:st="on"><st1:place w:st="on">Philadelphia</st1:place></st1:city>. It will begin with dinner the evening of August 3 and will end with two Editors' Panels on the morning of August 5.
The workshop will include presentations by invited faculty fellows, as well as small group research discussions. Topics addressed will include Conducting High Impact Research/ Publishing in Top-Tier Journals, Having Impact as a Teacher, and Balancing the Demands of an Academic Career. The program also provides a unique opportunity to gain research feedback on your own scholarly work. For 2007, the following senior scholars will participate as faculty fellows: Susan Ashford, Sigal Barsade, Max Bazerman, Joel Brockner, Etty Jehn, Katherine Klein, Kwok Leung, Sally Blount-Lyon, Jackie Coyle Shapiro, Barry Staw, and Batia Wiesenfeld.
To register for this workshop you must be a member of the Organizational Behavior Division of the Academy as of May, 2007. You must have completed your PhD within the last five years, and be done no later than July 1 of 2007. In your registration materials, please include the following:
- Full contact information
- A current curriculum vitae
- A 2-3 page (double spaced) summary of a working paper or project in progress. This will be forwarded to relevant Workshop Faculty Fellows, as well as to other participants who share your interests.
- The names of three faculty fellows with whom you would like to work on your paper or project. We will try and match you with at least one of them.
- A registration fee of $150.00 U.S. dollars to partially defray meal costs, payable by check or credit card, to the <st1:place w:st="on"><st1:placetype w:st="on">Academy</st1:placetype> of <st1:placename w:st="on">Management</st1:placename></st1:place>.
