I am pleased to announce that I have been appointed Guest Editor of a special issue of Organizational Dynamics (Elsevier), one of the leading practitioner-bridge journals in organizational behavior and strategic management.
The issue is titled: Resilience in the Age of Permacrisis
Managers are no longer navigating discrete crises. They are navigating permacrisis - an environment in which disruptions compound, overlap, and recur before organizations have recovered from the last one. Economic shocks, geopolitical fragmentation, inflationary cycles, democratic erosion, and climate-related disruption are no longer exceptional events. They are the operating environment.
This special issue asks: What does it take to build an organization that does not merely survive successive crises but compounds its competitive advantage through them?
We invite submissions from scholars and practitioners addressing permacrisis resilience across the following domains:
- Economic and financial shock resilience
- Political and institutional resilience
- Inflationary cycle resilience
- Human capital continuity under turbulence
- Enterprise risk architecture
- Leadership and organizational learning across crisis cycles
Submission deadline: July 15, 2026
