Overview
Please join us at AOM 2024 in Chicago for our PDW on Enduring through Gender Biases in Academia: Understanding Experiences, Challenges, and Solutions. The PDW aims to shed light on the challenges women scholars face in our field and generate ideas and solutions for changes that can help women overcome some of these barriers. To do so, this session invites leading scholars to apply insights from their own and others' research and knowledge on gender and organizational bias to the field of management. Through panelist presentations and roundtable sessions, participants can have open conversations with the panelists and discuss possible solutions to the barriers facing women scholars. Importantly, this PDW invites men, women, and individuals of all gender identities across all stages of their careers to join in the conversation to learn more about the unique experiences of parents in academia and how we can implement valuable solutions.
This year, our expert panelists include Drs. Michelle Duffy (U. Minnesota), Jennifer Carson Marr (U. Maryland), Gerry McNamara (Michigan State U.), Lionel Paolella (U. Cambridge), Lex Washington (Oklahoma State U.), Ayana Younge (U. Virginia, Darden).
