    Dear NeuB Interest Group Members and Colleagues,

    We are pleased to invite applications for the 2026 AOM NeuB Doctoral/Early Career Consortium, to be held in person at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting in Philadelphia on Friday, July 31, 2026.

    Organized by the Organizational Neuroscience and Biology (NeuB) Interest Group, this event is designed to support scholars interested in integrating neuroscience and biology concepts, perspectives, and methods into management and organizational research.

    The program includes both public and application-based sessions. The morning sessions - including hardware/software demonstrations and the editors panel - will be open to the public. The afternoon sessions - including the senior scholars panel and small-group roundtables - will be reserved for selected consortium participants.

    The afternoon consortium is intended as a developmental opportunity for a broad range of pre-tenure scholars, including doctoral students at any stage, postdoctoral scholars, assistant professors, and other early career researchers. Applicants do not need to be on the academic job market or in the final year of their doctoral program, and they may participate more than once across their doctoral and early career years.

    Eligibility for Afternoon Consortium Participation

    Eligibility applies only to the afternoon sessions. Applicants should:

    • be a doctoral student, postdoctoral scholar, assistant professor, or other pre-tenure scholar;
    • have an interest in organizational neuroscience, biology, or related biobehavioral approaches in management research; and
    • be interested in discussing research ideas with senior scholars and peers.

    No application is required for the morning public sessions.

    Application Materials

    Those wishing to participate in the afternoon senior scholars panel and roundtables should submit:

    1. A brief CV or bio in PDF format
    2. A 300–500 word proposal describing the research questions they are interested in pursuing and/or would like to explore during the afternoon sessions

    The proposal may describe an early-stage idea, a developing research agenda, a methodological interest, or a set of questions for feedback. A fully developed study is not required.

    Please email application materials to Danni Wang with the subject line:

    Selection

    If space is limited, selection will be based on fit with the goals of the consortium and the extent to which the applicant is likely to benefit from the afternoon discussions. Our goal is to assemble a diverse and engaged group of participants across career stages and research interests.
