Dear MOC PhD Students and recent graduates,
We're thrilled to share the exciting news that the MOC Division's peer mentoring program for PhD students and recent graduates, MOC-UP, is kicking off its second year!
MOC-UP is a way for junior scholars to come together, talk, and share advice on navigating the PhD journey. It operates on the principles of peer mentoring, aiming to establish positive, empowering, and inclusive environments where participants can ask questions, share strategies, and collaborate on problem-solving. The program is designed to be flexible and not overly demanding on participants' time, allowing individuals and their mentor/mentee pairs to determine the extent of their engagement. When you register, you can choose between traditional one-to-one mentoring or joining a mentoring group.

For the purpose of MOC-UP, we expect that mentees will be in the earlier stages of their programs, and mentors will be in the later stages (e.g., PhD candidates or recent graduates).

If you’re interested in being part of MOC-UP, either as a mentee or mentor, please complete the quick and easy sign-up form:
Sign-ups will remain open until February 6th (17:00 ET GMT-5/UTC-5), at which point we will match mentees and mentors, and email participants to let them know their pairings. While we are planning a MOC-UP event for the AOM Annual Meeting, rest assured that you don’t need to be attending the Annual Meeting this year to sign up.

If you have any questions about MOC-UP, please feel free to reach out to us directly.

    Best,
    Sophie Jané & Angela Ianniello
    MOC Ambassadors
