Purpose
This information session is designed to introduce scholars to the upcoming Special Issue on Algorithmic Organizing: Exploring the Pervasive Impact of Algorithms on Organizations and Society (deadline: November 30, 2025). The session will provide potential authors with an opportunity to learn more about the special issue themes, expectations, and ask questions directly to the guest editors.
Who Should Attend
We welcome all scholars who are:
Conducting empirical research on how algorithmic technologies are transforming organizational processes, practices, and dynamics
Using interpretive methodological approaches such as ethnographies, digital ethnographies, phenomenology studies, case studies, QCA studies, process methodologies, routine dynamics, and practice-based studies
Interested in advancing theory related to the impact of algorithms and AI on organizations and society
Considering writing a media review (see https://journals.sagepub.com/aims-scope/OSS for more information)
