scholars build their mental representations of theory, evidence, and contribution, and AI is changing how information is processed, how judgments form, and how learning unfolds.
A panel of experienced doctoral educators: Katie Badura (Georgia Tech), Michael Christian (UNC), Crystal Farh (University of Washington), and Daniel Newton (University of Iowa), moderated by David Lebel (University of Pittsburgh), will examine how students and faculty adapt to AI-enabled work practices, along with the shared norms that may guide responsible use and implications for mentoring and feedback.
Following the panel, roundtable conversations will invite participants to exchange experiences and develop actionable ideas for supporting doctoral students.
