Professor Wiesenfeld is an internationally recognized scholar whose research examines organizational change, digital work, and identity processes. Her recent work explores how emerging technologies (e.g., especially AI, machine learning, and digital health tools) are transforming the future of work and organizations. She has studied how employees and stakeholders respond to layoffs, restructuring, remote work, and stigmatizing crises.
Her research has appeared in top journals such as Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Organization Science, and Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes. She is a former editor of Organization Science, has served on editorial boards of ASQ, OBHDP, and others, and is a Fellow of the Academy of Management.
As is tradition, our Distinguished Scholar will deliver a keynote address during the division's plenary session at the Academy of Management Annual Meeting. Please join us to honor Professor Wiesenfeld and hear her address:
