    CALL FOR ABSTRACTS
Distances in Organizations - Fifth Annual Workshop
    May 19-20, 2022
We invite submissions for Distances in Organizations' (DIO) fifth annual workshop, which we will hold virtually on May 19-20, 2022.
The workshop will cover topics such as construal levels (e.g., measurement and manipulation, conceptualization), cognitive distance and its implications for varied organizational phenomena (e.g., strategy, leadership, performance, justice, teamwork), social distances between employees (e.g., hierarchy, diversity, networks, culture), spatial distances in work teams (e.g., distributed teams, mobile work), and temporal distances in work projects (e.g., goal setting, temporal horizons).
The goal of the workshop is to provide a platform for academics and graduate students to present their findings, discuss innovative ideas, and share new techniques for conducting research. DIO is designed to be a small workshop (around 50 participants) to facilitate discussion and exchange of ideas between attendees. In addition, the workshop encourages networking through online social events.
